2026 Scholarship Recipients
In May of 2026, Love Like Leah awarded over $10,000 in scholarships to five deserving OCHS graduating seniors. Each of the five recipients received a $2,200 scholarship, in honor of Leah's 22nd birthday. Through each of these recipients, we saw some of the same spirit, character, grit, determination and heart that Leah carried with her everyday. Congratulations to Anabella Bluhm (Georgia Tech), Austin Gay (Georgia Tech), Hudson Hale (Georgia College), Ellie Johnson (University of Georgia) and Ruthie Slider (University of Georgia).
2025 Scholarship Recipient
In May of 2025, the second Love Like Leah scholarship was awarded to Caleb Antwine. The scholarship amount was $2,100, which is representative of the fact that Leah would have been 21 years old. Caleb was truly impressive. He stood out with his strong work ethic, commitment, determination, and the ability to set a goal and chart a path to get there. We know that Leah had these same qualities and would always keep pushing forward when she encountered a challenge. We wish Caleb the best of luck as he continues his education at Georgia Tech.
2024 Scholarship Recipient
In May of 2024, the first Love Like Leah $1,900 scholarship was awarded to Leslie Sherard at the OCHS Senior Honors Night. We saw striking similarities between Leslie and Leah. Leslie showed determination and perseverance and also had a unique way of connecting with people. Leslie went on to the University of Georgia to continue her education. We are looking forward to many more years of awarding this scholarship in Leah's memory.
